we headed to barcelona this weekend in honour of K and her impending nuptials.
things got a little awkward when 'someone' in the group gave a champagne induced confession that they may have feelings for CB (K's fiance) which i feel was the catalyst for the following string of incidents and admissions:

it came to light that K had been spiking J's coffee with her weight gain milkshake powder, (that K had been taking in order to not lose too much weight for the wedding/her dress ) for some time now. ironically J no longer fits in to her chosen outfit. photographic evidence showing T dancing around the flat in K's wedding dress was presented when T accused J of a skype related incident involving pineapples. chaos insued when J 'accidently spilt her drink over K's miu miu's...

but as the expression goes 'what happens in barcelona stays in barcelona', so the official statement is that a great time was had by all, and we are looking forward to the glamourous cotswolds wedding next month.

mil & tom (aka james) tied the knot this weekend, particularly exciting as tom (james) is no longer at risk of being deported.

the bridemaids, including J & T attended the ceremony via skype.

Blood Sugar - the movie
Following on from the hit movie franchise blood diamond, comes something that has been many years in the making. telling the story of indian slaves that were shipped to natal, south africa to work in the sugar cane fields in the late 1800's...my old friend AM was inspired to tell this story as we were driving up the north coast to a mutual friends bbq one summer evening. AM, durban born and of indian decent began telling me of his peoples struggle and history. he also decided to include a character with diabetes, a disease that crosses gender and race. like AM and i, we believe many people will identify with this story. although i have no indian blood in me (many are fooled by how easily i tan) i have a family member with diabetes and i enjoy bollywood movies.

directed by m. night shyamalan, soundtrack by A.R Rahman (of slumdog millionaire fame).

african correspondant Z (paparazzo & modeliser) got these snaps of london local agynes deyn attending a fashion event in durban, sa. Z claims that he "sat front row and agy commented on his shoes". agy's people have not denied these allegations.

after a tumultuous courtship M and N have finally tied the knot!

M looked breathtaking in her gorgeous dress- at the last minute she decided to lose the fairylights and heavy battery packs from under her dress....only because KW refused to hold the fire extinguisher and was heard saying that this is where she drew the line on maid of honour duties and unfortunately the suave cavendish square venue was big on health and safety.

J & T sat frow..(well 2nd row from the front, in the parents row, so that's pretty much the same thing). The moving ceremony was followed by loads of champagne and dancing. The bridesmaids and back up bridesmaids were all on hand to make sure a good time was had by all. PW gave an emotional best man speech, groomzilla N looked handsome and completely smitten with the beautiful M...

Mil & Tom (aka James Franco) finally get hitched in sunny SA this weekend... due to probation issues J & T wont be there in body..but certainly in spirit. all the best for the big day M & T- we love your work.

and a huge congratulations to K and C. yes people they're engaged!! according to unconfirmed rumours the romantic proposal took place during a hyde park picnic, C got down on one knee in a yoda costume.. whatever floats your boat is what we say. the pair have refused to comment on whether or not the wedding will have a star wars theme.

two engagements ... and a public announcement

although my world was brought to a standstill ... for four individuals, last week, has been magical

we are delighted to share with you the engagement news of two very special w210 couples; so as not to play favourites, the following is (to the best of our knowledge) in chronological order

tom (aka james franco) and mil (and some other guy)it was a romantical autumn day... he took her to a special place in hyde park ...and did it there. mil couldn't resist his charm = she said yes!

sheena and dan (airport)their love is the stuff books are made of... they met briefly (while helping/ cleaning the elderly) 3 days before sheena got deported to the end of the world (canda)... so it was only fitting that the proposal took place at the customs counter at heathrow

and a public announcement:newton's third law of motion (f1= -f2) states that in every interaction there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects etc etc ... in real life, this means that M & N's engagement (announced last month) is the end of my marriage to nathan

they met while hiking through the himalayas... N was looking for an affordable synthetic leg (he had lost his while skiing in chamonix), and M was an aid worker helping underprivileged goats

they told us the good news (that they are engaged) when we recently caught up with them. a close family friend also confirmed their allegations

although there are countless self help books on what not to do at weddings, this is a quick guide if one doesn't have days to spare to read books with limited pictures

things that make others stare (not in a good "i'm checking you out" way)
1. stealing wine from the kid's table
2. dancing with boys who look like they could be 17 (even if they look like they are about to turn 17 in the following 2 months)
3. eating other guests' chocolates

things that are ok to do
1. dance with dan's dad

must haves
1 &2. a bride and groom (wedding 101) .. though this was a breath-taking bride and very handsome "groom"
3. castle
4. a car full of hillarious friends

*they say that opposites attract, but in some instances, what draws people together is a longing, desire, want, need, love, apathy, hunger and above all a mutual level of unhealthy interest in doritos (doritos are chips which are sold in many countries worldwide in assorted flavours)
